InTheLoop is an interactive AI tutor built on a simple but powerful idea: treat the human as "the system under test." An LLM takes the role of educator — teaching a topic, then debugging the human's understanding through targeted questions, misconception identification, and adaptive explanation.

The best way to learn isn't to read documentation — it's to be taught by someone who can assess what you know, identify gaps, and adjust their explanations in real time. InTheLoop creates this experience with AI: say "teach me about X" and an interactive session begins where the AI explains, questions, probes, and corrects. This inverts the typical AI interaction: instead of the human asking the AI questions, the AI asks the human questions — and uses the answers to build a model of the human's understanding, then targets the weakest points.

Status: conceptual phase. The design and architecture are being developed. No implementation code exists yet.
